Alas, poor Salem

Today, a policeman and I confronted my psychotic neighbor, who stole my cat because she thinks flea bites cause cancer. She refused to tell us what she'd done with the cat. I just spent $100 last month in vet bills, and my kids are crying for their pet. He's probably in pieces in her freezer. FML

There are flea preventatives available that eliminate all fleas. If your cat has fleas, YDI for not caring enough to prevent them. YDI also for whining about a $100 vet bill. I hate cats myself, but even I would do more for one than you apparently would.

I get where you're coming from, but that's not necessarily true. My cats and my dog have had a big problem with fleas this year and all of them were on flea meds. It got to the point where even though we had spent $80 on a vet recommended brand of flea meds, we had to switch to another because it simply wasn't working. The new brand worked for my dog and my younger cat, but it made my older cat sick and we had to wash it off of her within a few hours. What finally got them under control was treating the other 2 animals, using a flea comb on all of them daily and vacuuming religiously to remove hidden eggs. I don't know what OP's situation is about the flea meds, but I do know I feel extremely sorry for her about her cat and her psycho neighbor. OP, do what someone else suggested and check all the animal shelters and check around to see if there are any known "drop off" spots. Hope you get your cat back.

cars hardly ever hit cats and when they do the cat will usually just get back up. one time my dad and i were going fishing and a cat ran out in front of the truck we swerved and the truck missed the cat but the boat trailer didn't. that cat must have spun around atleast 9 times and the silly animal got back up and kept on truckin. thems cats are tough.

Get a restraining order.. That way your psycho neighbor has to move and if she walks outside with your cat at least you'll know it's still alive and can maybe get it back.. Like if she puts it in her car or something
