Bigmouth strikes again

Today, I was working at a hospital-level rest home. I was making the rounds when I noticed a woman was sitting in her (electric) wheelchair in the middle of the hall. Going closer, I saw her battery was flat so I said, "Uh-oh! Looks like you've died." She bawled her eyes out and said, "Not yet." FML

Ydi for saying something like that as a rest home. And who says that? If my phone runs out of battery I don't tell people i'm dead. YDI.

I worked at a Retirement Facility for 3 years so I feel your pain, it's tough and you just try to keep things light. Which is harder than you'd think... -And anyway, if it was Assisted Living perhaps she forgot his comment mid-cry. Dementia to the rescue! [for once...]

Not funny, wow..but the response was lol.

Honestly, I woulda said that myself, so can't be a hypocrite and say ydi.

Next time try reporting to work in a hooded black robe. Sneak up on her and say in a low voice, "It's time."

I wish i could reply to comments on this stupid phone app. Plexico, you win. :)

Why does op deserve it? The old bitch deserves it for over reacting.

yes, Why does he have to accompany her to that pity party? Every one dies, and he didn't mean it that way. Now she made him feel bad for an honest mistake. Its like asking a blind person if they have seen a movie and they start crying. You know what the person meant.

Dude, she's probably too mentally unwell (eg. dementia has set in) to understand things like that, seeing as how she is in a rest home....

soooo....then its still not OP's fault. You just emphasized my point that the lady was irrational about the whole thing.

she was saying the battery was dead, not the woman. It was a wrong choice of words.

Wtf would someone mean by asking a blind person if they had seen a movie? Thats flat out retarted
