Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you can't still LIGHTLY exercise and/or swim or do "something" to keep your body healthy. And just because you have a baby doesn't give you an excuse to eat a double pickle fudge sunday with creeme cheese on top. You can still control cravings and calories. If you get fat during a pregnancy not only are you letting yourself down you are letting your unborn child down by telling him it's ok to be a fat nasty trollump before he/she is even born. FAIL FAIL AND FAIL AGAIN !
YDI for bombing Hiroshima.
.
Wow to everyone calling her out for not gaining much weight. What's the problem? Did she ever say how far along she was? If she's 2 weeks away from giving birth I'd say 8lbs isn't much, but if her doctor isn't concerned, then no one else should be! Midway through the second trimester you should be gaining roughly a 1/2 pound a week until the end. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant with my first child, and so far I have LOST weight, and yes, I have been eating. I was so sick for the first 17 weeks it was all I could do to nosh on some soda crackers, but my doctor said as long as I was still taking my prenatal vitamins and was eating healthy when I could keep anything down, he wouldn't start to worry until much later. I have lost 14 lbs and have gained back 2 of those, and yup, according to my doctor I have an average sized bump, and according to my ultrasound there is a perfectly healthy normal sized baby in there. Everyone's experience is different and just because some of you may have put on 50 pounds by the end doesn't mean the OP isn't taking care of herself and her child properly. As long as her doctor or midwife or other healthcare professional isn't concerned, then get off her back! Lastly, I think some of you are missing the point of the FML. Her husband made an asshole remark at a time when she probably isn't feeling very sexy and is very likely feeling uncomfortable, tired, stretched, and unsure of herself. Maybe for her family history only gaining 8lbs at the point she is at in the pregnancy IS an accomplishment, or maybe she had an eating disorder in the past and only gaining 8lbs when most women treat having a baby as an excuse to act like a garbage disposal IS an accomplishment. Congrats OP!
NO ONE IS GOING TO READ ALL THAT
Actually YES, I DID read all that! Because she is the ONLY ONE WHO GAVE A REASONABLE RESPONSE with correct facts! Being pregnant is no reason to let yourself go and get fat. There is a certain amount you should gain to ensure the baby is healthy, yes. But there is NOTHING wrong with her watching her weight and making sure she only gains that certain amount or a slight proportion more! She wouldn't have been proud of herself if her doctor had told her she weighs too little and it's unhealthy for the baby.
All you people need to calm the **** down. For all you people calling her shallow/narcistic/anorexic it is O-*******-K to be concerned about your weight, you don't even know how far into the pregnancy she is so this might be a perfectly acceptable amount to have gained. Don't try and justify yourselves turning into cows during your pregnancies by bashing on the OP for possibly not gaining enough weight. For everyone calling her fat grow the **** up, she wants a healthy child.
All you people judging and making fun of this fat-ass roly-poly porkbellied butterball should just stop.
Ydi for having ******* unprotected sex you bitchass fatty!!!!!!
btw FYL for having an ass for a husband, NOT for gaining weight as some seem to think was the point of your FML
You are a superficial anorexic fatty...

Well, you should have thought of that before getting pregnant. Honestly, you need to get over it. You're going to gain weight if you're carrying.
It's healthy to put on weight during pregnancy. YDI for caring more about your weight than your baby.
