Today, my mother called me and told me that she went to the hospital. This wasn't a surprise 'cos she normally goes to the hospital for the smallest things. I was a smartass and asked, "What now? You finally have lung cancer from all those cigarettes?" Apparently, she does. FML

Today, in front of a hospital, I noticed that an old lady was having trouble lighting her cigarette because she had Parkison's. So I went to help her to light it up and she then started chatting with me and told me she had lung cancer. FML

Today, my friend (she's 14) said she had lung cancer. This made me and my other friend very worried for her, but now we know she was faking it since when she was "at the hospital" she was at a friend's house, and her mom came to the school to confirm she was faking the whole thing. FML

Today, my mom fell and hit her head on our coffee table when walking inside. She tripped on a 1 cm gate rail. She split her head open and there was so much blood. This is the third bad fall in 2 weeks. She still smokes, despite having COPD, and the ER doctor telling her smoking is depriving her brain of oxygen. FML

#18, no #3 isn't ******* you. #1 is a ****** moron. to say she deserves it, dude thats not cool. no matter how many cigs she smoked she still doesn't deserve one of the most painful cancers. Anyways, I'm really sorry to hear that, I hope you and your family can get through this period of your lives. and smoking all the time doesn't always lead to cancer.. well it depends on what you're smoking. :D

Um, wow, yeah she actually does. She knew the risks, she knew the consequences, obviously her kid warned her more than once, and she chose to ignore that. She got exactly what was coming to her. No one forced her to inhale tar for years on end.

104- ******* A. I hate a lot of people, but I watched my mother go through chemotherapy and surgeries for breast cancer and I would NEVER wish that shit on anyone. Cancer is serious, and although OP's mother smoked, she did not deserve that.

My sister is the same way. Ever since she had kids, she's terrified that sh'ell get sick nad leave them motherless, it's her greatest fear. So she goes to the hospital more than most, for minor things, just in case. She once went, with a pain in her leg, thinking she hade bone cancer.

What the hell?! She didn't deserve it! Anybody stupid enough to smoke cancer sticks deserves cancer. And it sounds to me like dear old cancer-huffing mommy was a bit of a hypochondriac based on the "she normally goes to the hospital for the smallest things" part. I know several people like that, it gets tiring hearing about it and I know that I would say something smart back if I got yet another call saying that they were in the hospital. Mommy-dearest deserves the cancer. The kid shouldn't feel bad at all. #26 - Both my parents smoked when they were younger (they don't anymore) and I've already told them that, while it would suck if they got cancer, I wouldn't feel sorry for them because they deserve it for doing something so stupid.
