Actually, my Dad yells at me for getting B's when he got all B's throughout his school years, he's a parent, it's his job to be concerned about your grades, wheather or not he could accomplish the same feat himself.

i hate it when parents yell at kids just because they are just one letter grade under an A, if i was a parent i would love for my kids to do good but i would be a douche about it.

Could be he's yelling at you because he knows you're smart enough to get all A's so if you get a B he thinks you're not trying. Just because he sucks at geography doesn't mean he doesn't want you to do well.

there's no connetion, to me. I really think that every father or mother regardless of their own possibilities or IQ or whatever alsways wants the best for the child. and the best includes the est possible job and that requiers good (best) marks. so no matter how stupid your father may be - he still wants you to be good
