Today, I went to a coffee shop to meet an online date. I couldn't spot him, so he eventually came up and introduced himself. It seems his on-line picture must have been taken before I was born. I spluttered "This isn't going to work," and promptly scuttled out. FML

I think, maybe, that was OP's witty way of pointing out that the man was older than the man in the picture. He could have used someone else's and claimed it was him. It's all the craze on myspace.

Wow, id be upset myself OP. In this case OP has a reason to be mad because her date lied about his image. The pic she saw online of her date, was the exact same person she expected to meet. Give the girl some slack. He lied about his looks which for one is a stupid thing anyone can do. Was he that ugly that he didnt want no one to see the real him today? GL OP and you did the right thing by walking out since he lied about his image. BTW, I would have at least let him explain his situation before you stormed out.

YDI for meeting someone after seeing one photo. Everyone has a webcam, these days. Anyway, didn't he have an 80's style/mullet in this one photo, to indicate that it wasn't taken recently?
