Today, I was enjoying my last day of Spring Break in Panama City. I got up to dance on the stage at the Holiday Inn in front of hundreds of college kids. I tried to be sexy by turning around and bending over. My friends took pictures and my bloody tampon string was hanging out the whole time. FML

Today, I was feeling confident, so I rented a cabana at the beach and put on my best swimsuit. I was at the bar when suddenly the stool gave way under me. I was drenched in Mojito and a bunch of spring breakers laughed at me, making fat jokes. I spent the rest of the day crying in the cabana. FML

Today, I got back from a fun vacation I took with my husband. During the vacation, I participated in a wet t-shirt contest and a bunch of pictures of me flashing my breasts and waving my t shirt over my head during the contest got posted online. My whole office is teasing me now. FML

Today, I went swimming. While I was walking along side of the pool, everyone was staring at me. I began to think that my diet was really working. It was only an hour later, in the changing rooms, that I noticed the string from my Tampax that was sticking out of my swimming costume. FML

Today, I went to a party that my friends were throwing. I had a great time and got blackout drunk. I woke up to videos from my girlfriend from last night. At some point I'd managed to take off my shorts and boxers and spent the rest of the party naked from the waist down. FML

@ 51 - Yes, but the point of wearing tampons as opposed to pads (excluding the obvious difference in comfort) is to be discreet about your period. People aren't supposed to know about it. It was completely justified for her to try and act sexy if she wanted to, it was just unfortunate that her period was so blatantly obvious. Otherwise, nobody would have noticed and probably would have thought it was sexy and that nothing was wrong. @ 14 & 56 - She never even mentioned wearing a skirt, in which case she'd presumably be wearing shorts, and shorts are far from slutty. Anyway, this FML just sucks in general. That's embarrassing.

It's more noticeable than you think and it feels like you're wearing a diaper." Wrong~ I wear pads because I'm terrified of tampons ever since getting one stuck a few years ago after the string broke. :| And besides, how would you know what wearing a diaper feels like? Do you remember that far back? XP

To everyone calling guys dicks for being grossed out by this FML, get a ******* grip; why else would the OP have gotten up on stage to dance "sexy" if it wasn't to attract the attention of the guys? It isn't an unnatural reaction to be grossed out by the fact that the girl you are trying to get with is obviously on the rag. "#28- So girls aren't allowed to be sexy on there periods? What a dick." Like others have said before, what the hell was the OP trying to accomplish? You don't dance sexy for the hell of it; you do it to attract the attention of the guys. Why shouldn't we be grossed out when a girl's bloody tampon string is obviously showing?

You must not know anything about women. ATTENTION ALL GUYS EVERYWHERE: trying to get a man's attention is not the only reason a girl has for trying to be sexy. A lot of women act sexy (or try to look sexy as the case may be) because it gives them confidence or makes them feel good about themselves. And sometimes we do it just for fun. Believe it or not, not everything in a woman's life revolves around attracting a man.
