Today, I got a brand new couch. My husband told me to keep our puppy off of it so we could keep it nice. She jumped on it, and as I picked her up to put her back on the floor, her claws dragged across it and ripped two of the cushions. FML

1st you didn't "pick up" the dog if the paw dragged across the cushion. 2nd trim the dogs claws. don't blame the dog ydi

I'm guessing that since she had the dog in her hands while lifting it off the couch, that's still considered "picking up."

walking on the pavement would keep them filed down enough once they've been trimmed... if the puppy is old enough..
