I'm not one to yell "dump him/her!" on every post, but trust is a huge part of any relationship, and he very clearly broke that trust. The lengths he went to to humiliate you in front of his friends is very troubling, and says something about him as a person. At the very least he has terribly low self esteem and needs to feel superior by bringing other people down and making fun of them, he sounds absolutely cruel. You went to great lengths to make him happy and he repays you by making you into a joke for his friends, that isn't a healthy relationship. Please don't put up with that kind of thing.
