Underarms are hardly sexual in the way that genitals are, unless I'm doing something wrong here, so I'm not sure the comparison is entirely accurate. A surprising number of women also find stubble to be attractive on male pin-ups (and men in general I guess) so hair and sexual maturity are clearly linked by more people than just me. A lot of it is cultural, I appreciate that, but we are gradually reaching the point where everyone is expected to have the hair-pattern of a child (top of the head only). I find that a little freaky, especially in a sexual context. I have not objection in principle to having a kid running a company while I do object to screwing them. I'm sure that's not just me.

As a woman who regularly enjoys oral to my husband, I can honestly say I prefer shaved. Trimming does not stop shedding and nothing less sexy than coughing up pubes. So preference upon your intentions.

They're not directly sexual but they're clearly part of the overall attraction. If you can see why a guy would be attracted to a woman with clean-shaven legs, you should be able to make the link to genitals. Some people just like it to be smoother down there or just don't want pubes in their mouths or whatever, but as long as they don't say, "hey, I want you to shave your junk so I can forget you're not 10" then I don't see any problem. I just don't think you need to instantly associate "less hair" with "pre-pubescent". Just like with shaving a beard, there's a multitude of reasons to shave any part of your body. Regarding legs and underarms, that's obviously cultural. While I find it annoying to do, I still shave them when I know I'm wearing something that will show those parts. Regarding shaving the genital areas, that's a whole nother ballpark. You can say it's a "cultural" preference or whatever, but in all honesty it's more hygienic. You're a guy, so I'll take a stab and assume you've never experienced menstruation before, but it's much easier to deal with with less hair. The same with other bodily fluids. It's much cleaner.

And lastly, as someone mentioned above about oral sex, I imagine it's better for both genders not getting their face scratched and picking pubes out of their teeth. Thick mustaches and beards can be scratchy and gross as well - beards harbor a lot of bacteria. The level of shaving you prefer is a personal choice - I've dated people who flat out told me they liked it trimmed, but not the "prepubescent look" and I obliged them. But you, sir, need to get off your high horse and stop judging everyone who doesn't feel the same way as you. Some people like it bare, and some don't. And if your naked penis looks like a little boy's you probably have bigger (er...smaller??) problems to deal with anyway.
