I'm sorry but this is completely your fault. That's what C-clamps are for. Now, if your hand was on top of the piece of wood to hold it, you should have seen it coming and so should the kid, so I'm getting the impression that you were holding it from the bottom, and the drill went through the wood and then your hand. In which case: what the **** were you thinking?! Even if you weren't worried about your hand getting drilled, even under normal circumstances holding it up from the bottom is nowhere near stable enough for drilling.
1) OW. 2) OW.
Can't believe there are so few "you totally deserved it" votes, because you totally did. What the hell were you doing?
He still has a tongue. (;
He could be pecking this out one letter at a time with his good hand. To the OP: You, sir, are a disgrace to woodshop teachers. You acted stupid, and expected your student not to do the same.
Maybe he's one of those rare humans with... oh my gawd, two hands.
@ #52 I have 2 hands :o I always knew I was speshil >.<
any smart person would know no to keep your hand behind the spot being drilled... guess you're dumb...
Clearly it is a requirement to start each post with "today" regardless of the day it actually happened.
Yeah, my friend actually got his finger cut off about two weeks ago in shop by his friend. Things happen.
