He's a good man

By no booze, no boyfriend - 04/06/2013 20:31 - United States

Today, my now ex-boyfriend called me from jail, expecting me to bail him out. He'd tried to buy a load of booze at the liquor store and came up short by ten cents. The cashier refused to be short-changed, and he figured the only reasonable reaction was to punch her in the face. FML

Well here is a wife beater in the making... Hope you let him rot in jail.

One problem I have with every other post on here is people freaking out over the fact the girl got hit yes we all know that's bad but what happened to being treated equally? If a girl grabs a guys package it's flirting if a guy looks at a girls boobs or butt it's sexual harassment.....just saying I don't agree or disagree either way lol

Although you worded terribly it and took it a little out of proportion with the example o.O I do still agree. If women want equality then they'll just have to deal with the violence we deal with ourselves.

Did you miss the part where she did absolutely nothing to deserve being punched in the face? You're right, in the case of self defense. Same goes towards men. Don't hit a man unless it's self defense. This is not one of those cases.

FYL? Yes. F the cashier's life? Yes! I don't understand the people that say that the cashier should've just let the 10 cents slide. If the guy was buying milk and eggs, I'd agree. But alcohol? I've seen it so many times that people try to get free alcohol or are short a bit. It's alcohol, you don't need it. And if you do, you need help.

So much yes! Food is a necessity, alcohol is a drug and luxury item. No one ever truly needs it.

if this would have happened in Russia his ass would be in the hospital right meow. the cashier ladies are pretty strong over there.

Congratulations on your freedom. No boyfriend is better than an asshole of a boyfriend after all.

Why does people think the cashier should have just given him the money? Yes, it's a small amount, but she is in no way obligated to give him free stuff. The moneys gotta come from somewhere, either the cashiers paycheck or her till will be missing at the end of the shift. It wasn't even something he needed, as in food or the like, so he's just like a kid screaming for his candy. I'm also assuming if he was trying to buy "a load of booze", he bought more than one beer and could as well have put something back instead of demanding free handouts.

Her!? Under no circumstance do you ever, ever, EVER hit a girl!

No. If it's in self-defense, it's okay to strike back regardless of gender. If I was whacking some guy over the head with a blunt object (for whatever reason) I don't expect him to just sit there and get wailed on; I'd expect him to at least put some restraint on me. As for the OP's ex... he was totally out of line. I can see why they broke up. FYL.

I hate this unwritten rule. If women were to receive every bit of the rights of men, and this rule was still enforced, it wouldn't be equal, now would it?

No, if a woman hits a man he has EVERY right to defend himself. The rule should be you NEVER hit ANYONE who is not a threat to you.

#69 So we're supposed to let physically abusive and malicious, spiteful, vindictive, manipulative, bitchy-in-the-extreme women (who are like that because they know men won't touch them) off the hook?

that's what you get for dating an idiot? xD>

I would have pulled my pants down and asked the cashier if I could pay it inches instead.,,
