Today, my fifteen year-old son decided to tell his little five year-old sister that Santa isn't real. She now refuses to talk to any of us and thinks "her whole life is a lie". FML

Beating donkeys are considered animal abuse. Just sayin'.

Don't tell her about the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny then. She may go rogue.

what a little asshole. I'd beat his ass

My dad wasn't allowed to believe in Santa. He also wasn't allowed to Trick or Treat, anything really.

"Her life is a lie." Maybe you shouldn't let her go on the internet yet.

Guess who isn't getting anytbing this year.

Well it really is a lie, so not like your son was wrong in what he said, just how he said it

That's sad that your son would do that. He kinda ruined a tiny part of her childhood, poor thing.

No presents fir the 15 year old and when the five year old asks it's because the 15 year old is on the naughty list .

To all those saying YDI for lying I've yet to meet anyone who found out Santa wasn't real and is permanently scarred by it. Santa is one of those parts of childhood you'll be depriving your kids of by trying to be brilliant never lying parents

Actually, I was really upset with my mother about that. I only enjoyed Santa because I actually believed in him, and having that taken away from me removed a lot of the happiness from the memory. The only lasting positive effect the whole Santa thing had for me was my learning not to trust blindly.

still not as bad as that teacher that asked all of her 2nd graders what they felt when they found out Santa wasn't real (when the majority of the class weren't aware of that yet). http://nypost.com/2011/12/03/elementary-school-teacher-tells-kids-theres-no-santa-claus/
