For those telling the OP to take advice from movies, fiction, or any other piece of Hollywood, romanticised kitsch: SHUT UP. SHUT. THE. HELL. UP. Life does not work the way Hollywood makes you believe. Unfortunately, you're left in a situation where there is almost no recourse or escape. I wouldn't even attempt to do anything at this point that would try to sway her your way, because such attempts WILL go afoul. Just accept the fact that your "best friend" is to be wed, and that you are not to meddle in her business. Try focusing on your enjoyment of your free trip and keeping the friendship.

This is, sadly what you get for not making your feelings known to the young lady. Staying friends with someone ou want more with for too long is almost dishonest. That's really tough for you. But you should have made a move. You'll have to reconcile yourself with being her friend now. Live and learn for the next time, bro.
