Today, the girl I'm in love with invited me to stay with her in Europe for 2 weeks, she's even paying for the flights and accommodation. It's because I'm such a special friend to her, and she wants me to come up to meet her fiancé before she gets married. FML

Today, I flew to Germany to meet up with a girl that I met in America 5 months ago and fell in love with. We've been talking every day for 5 months straight. I get here just for her to tell me that she likes me "like a brother". FML

Today, my long distance friend-with-benefits informed me she's now in a relationship with an amazing guy. I should be happier for her, as even I admit he is perfect for her. Too bad I just spent over a thousand dollars on plane tickets to visit her. The tickets are completely nonrefundable. FML

Today, I invited over my best friend, whom I've loved for over a year, since she had to tell me "something important". I got excited and thought she was going to tell me she loved me too. She ended up coming out to me, and wanted to know if I would meet her girlfriend. FML

Today, I spent hundreds of pounds buying my best friend concert tickets to see our favourite band, complete with a meet and greet. I drove over very excited to pick her up to take her. She had already left. With her boyfriend. FML

Firstly - I can't believe this. You were in love with her for a while and didn't even know she had a fiance? And she says "you're a good friend and all". I mean, I don't know if she's TRYING to "give you a hint" by breaking your heart so you'll back off, or if she's giving you another hint saying she wants you to take her away from this guy. And if she does want you to take her away from this fiance, she sounds sketchy. Now she's hurting her fiance, and she deceived him for some time. And if she marries him, she'll be cheating on him or stuck in an unhappy relationship - she sure sounds like a keeper, why would you want a dishonest girl like that? I don't think that finding other flings in Europe is going to help your heartbreak, nor is going and watching her get married. But really, I wouldn't go. And if you two really were good friends, she would have told you this earlier. P.S. This will not turn out to be like a romantic comedy. **** the other morons saying so. Do the right thing and just don't go. 2 weeks in Europe is not going to be enjoyable under the circumstance of a heartbreak.
