Today, I was working at my job as cashier. This really attractive girl who often comes in walked in, so I mustered up the courage to ask her out by writing my number on a dollar bill. She paid and the amount her change happened to be a dollar. I go to hand her the money when she sees it and says, "Keep the change!" FML

Today, while working as a cashier, I was flirting with this cute girl. When I asked her if she had her store card she said, "No", paused, then said "Can I give you my number?" I said, "Sure, that would be awesome, do you want mine?" She said no. I didn't know I could just enter the card number. FML

If someone came up to you and just wordlessly handed you their phonenumber, would you really be inclined to call them? I don't see how this is considered a reasonable strategy for asking someone out. Surely asking for their phone number is a better way to show interest, because honestly just expecting some stranger to call you because you gave them your number is a bit arrogant.

YDI. My friend did this at Pizza Hut once, only as the customer. Later that night a very deep voice called his phone and asked why he was hitting on his fiancee. We haven't gone back since.

"I mustered up the courage to ask her out." No you didn't But really, unless she actually saw you write your number on the dollar, she probably wasn't rejecting you...she was just giving you a tip. If I saw a number on my change, I wouldn't automatically assume that it was the cashier hitting on me. FYL, you overreact.
