Man up

Today, I woke up with horrible pain in my gut. It got worse and worse, and I started vomiting from the pain. My mom said it was the flu and that I needed to "man up." It turned out to be appendicitis, and I'm now typing this from my hospital bed. FML

Today, I crawled into my mom's room to tell her my stomach was in massive pain. She ended up throwing me out of the room while spraying me with Lysol. My appendix was about to burst and I needed surgery. FML

Today, after suffering probably my worst night of appendicitis, which consisted of vomiting, diarrhea, and going to the doctor, starving, only to find out a couple of hours later in the hospital ER that I'm allergic to penicillin and close to dying. Again. FML

Today, I was supposed to be enjoying a long-anticipated, desperately needed, weekend away. Turns out those "little stomach twinges" were actually symptoms of appendicitis. I'm stuck in the hospital, alone, recovering from surgery, while my family is enjoying our non-refundable break. FML

Today, I felt a very sharp pain, like my appendix was going to burst. After going to the doctor, I was rushed to the hospital to get tests done. The doctors later told me there's nothing wrong, I was just constipated. I went to the hospital for them to basically tell me I'm full of shit. FML

Today, I had the most excruciating pain I've ever felt in my lower right abdomen. I was doubled over and vomiting it hurt so bad. After going to the E.R., thinking it was my appendix and getting checked in, I let out the biggest most rancid fart in my life and the pain immediately went away. FML

Today, I woke up with extreme stomach pains. After being rushed to the hospital and having numerous tests performed, I was told my intestines were over-stretched with stool. I'm essentially so full of shit it hurts. FML

Today, my son was up at 3:00 am crying due to excruciatingly severe pain in his groin. I took him to the ER. After nine hours consisting of two different hospitals, an ambulance ride, a CAT scan, an ultrasound, and possible appendicitis, the surgeon finally said he was just constipated. FML

So sorry for you, OP. I had the same thing happen to me a while back. I ended up calling an ambulance because my mom said I was overreacting and it was "just PMS". Needless to say, she felt awful when I was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Anyways, I hope you recover quickly :)

I've had appendicitis, and I can say that it's impossible to "man up" unless you are Chuck Norris. Then again, he wouldn't get appendicitis.

OP clearly stated that they were diagnosed with appendicitis. Since they specifically said that they were submitting this FML from their hospital bed, I presume that OP already had their surgery. Therefore, it is not gallbladder complications.

i just ******* hate it when ppl sit and diagnose cases just bc they think they know shit... ur mom should be slapped and told to shut the **** up unless she is a ******* medical doctor. had she given u any medication or god knows what, u might not be alive to even post this! u r in pain u call medical help not ur mom or dad or neighbor.
