Today, my best friend confessed to having feelings for me. I've been in love with her for a long time, so I was ecstatic. She doesn't see herself ever going out with me, though, because she's a couple of inches taller and can't imagine herself "towering" over her man. FML

I don't know, personally I wouldn't want to date an extremely tall guy, I mean if I liked them and that was the only problem it wouldn't stop me, but I definitely prefer short guys. Different strokes for different folks and all.

As a tall girl I have been in this girls EXACT situation and for me height is also a huge factor as to whether I would go out with a guy. Just because she 'likes' you doesn't mean she loves you like you love her. So don't expect her to overlook the hight issue and make her feel insecure in the relationship if you don't tick all her other boxes.

Sounds like she needs to be taken down a few notches to your size. You could try using the line "size doesn't matter" and see where that takes you. :)
