Today, I was at my boyfriend's house. I've been a vegetarian for 4 years, and his mother made lasagna with meat in it. After telling her I don't eat meat, my boyfriend's father says "we know whose meat she does eat." My boyfriend, his mother, and I were standing right there. FML

Today, I was at my boyfriend's house for dinner with his family. His mom cooked up a steak dinner, except that I'm a vegan, but trying to be a good girlfriend, I forced it down. Upon his mother finding out I was a vegan, she called me "disloyal to my beliefs." FML

Today, after being a vegetarian for 5 years, I found out that my boyfriend of 2 years has secretly been feeding me meat. His reason is that he thinks it's "funny" that I still call myself a vegetarian afterwards. FML

Today, my boyfriend called my mother stupid and angrily argued with her at a family dinner. Why? We have a long-running family joke that "Vegan food doesn't contain calories," and my boyfriend thought my mum said it seriously, and was therefore a moron. FML

Today, I was at a barbeque with my family, my boyfriend, and some mutual acquaintances. Someone jokingly called my boyfriend a pussy, to which he loudly replied, "I guess I am what I eat!" My mother was sitting across from us. FML

Today, my boyfriend told me the sauce he made for our dinner that was meat-based, trying to show me how nice meat is and stop me being a weirdo vegan. The reason I’m vegan is because my digestive system can’t handle animal protein. I’m writing this from the bathroom, vomiting myself to death. FML

boyfriends fault imo. If I were having my girlfriend over I'd make sure my mom knew she was a vegetarian. Dad sounds like a cool guy though

@192 Shut up. That was probably the stupidest thing I've read all day, so quit being a moron. Most of the people on here commenting "YDI for being vegetarian" don't even know the first thing about being vegetarian. I'm sick of people assuming they do and telling off veggies for "not being healthy" or "being dumb." For one thing, get your facts straight, and another, mind your own ******* business. It's not your deal if someone chooses to not include meat in their diet. I eat meat, but I'm tired of people pretending like they know everything and everyone should do exactly as they do. Shut the hell up and get off your high horse, and then get it through your thick skulls that people are allowed to eat meat or not eat meat. It's perfectly healthy to be vegetarian (when done the right way), no matter the person's reason. And if you eat meat, that's fine. And for both sides, don't bash others' decisions. I blame PETA for all this crap about vegetarians.
