My new house

By Anonymous - 22/01/2013 08:27 - New Zealand - Wainuiomata

Today, I bought my first house, blowing nearly all my savings on the deposit. I had left myself enough for just a couple of necessary bits of furniture. It turns out the previous owner completely stripped the house when he left, taking the oven and even the toilet with him, amongst other things. FML

Didn't you have a walk through before closing? It's illegal to remove the stove in the US Dumbass

So u just bought the house without going inside or at least ask if the appliances r staying

100% your realtors fault for not telling you or stipulating that appliances be left. Take it up with his/her agency and you should be able to deduct it from their pay

1) always leave yourself 3 months bills worth of money when buying a house 2) always state what is staying in a purchase agreement I just bought a house and everything down to the curtains was in the agreement. If anything was missing it would have been a breach of contract which is punishable by law.

Assuming this is real and that you didn't just watch Moving with Richard Prior, this is considered real property and is illegal to strip and take without explicit agreement in the sale. So you can take the man to court and get your money for those items.

That's like buying a car offline workout ever seeing it... You deserved it...

If you can't cook, you won't eat, and therefore you won't need a toilet. I don't see the problem here.

I know that is complete shit, BUT I still have to say ydi considering try made the biggest purchase you can make completely blindly.

Why the hell wouldn't you do a walk through of the home before purchasing? Would you buy a car without a test ride, retard?

Talk to your agent that you work with when you bought the house if it wasn't excluded from the contract it comes with the house!!!!so if it wasn't mentioned that the previous owner wanted the oven/ toilet etc then you have a breach of contract and it rightfully would have come with the sale
