How come this is so good? Wheres the father? Good to see all you youngsters have family values.
That sucks.
Shocked but I guess not really surprised at the amount of YDIs this FML has got. This person is probably 19/20, why is it so shocking that she's having sex? I don't think you deserve it at all, OP. And I hope you're okay and have people around to support you. What you do now is entirely your choice, and good luck with it. Hope the OP updates this FML to let us know how she's getting on.
She deserves it because she had unprotected sex and probably lets her partying life get in the way of studying. There are plenty of college students who have a sex life, manage to pass classes, and can successfully maintain their birth control
It doesn't say she had unprotected sex. I was in a similar situation to OP in my second year, when I had a pregnancy scare despite using protection. Nor does it say that her grades are dropping because of partying. This could easily be from a one-off, or with a long-term partner. And yeah, I know plenty of students who can balance a social life, studying, and a sex life. I know a few who party a lot and are doing badly. And I also know quite a few that are failing not because of partying but just because college is pretty hard for a lot of people.
How do you know she was having unprotected sex? Abstinence is the only 100% way not to get pregnant (besides sterilization, but not many people choose that route). Anyway, birth control pills are only about 93% effective. An IUD is 99%, but she could still be that 1%.
We don't know she had unprotected sex! Birth control isn't 100% effective, I don't see why people find it so hard to understand that.
My fiancé was born after his father had a vasectomy. That's more than 99% effective. You can't assume somebody who got pregnant wasn't using birth control because even the most 'foolproof' methods can fail.
It only takes one time to have sex and get pregnant. For all we know, it was her first time. Maybe she's not a partier.
OP, if you're actually studying and not passing your tests, you need to find a way that helps you learn, or if you're studying the wrong things, ask a teacher. Repetitive writing of the lesson helps me to remember it for the next day (we won't go into detail here). I do it on Facebook to a friend, but before I was just writing the key points repeatedly on a blank piece of paper. If you do that enough, you have to make sure it's neat and practically written the same way each time because it can help you to picture in your head where the words were. Good luck OP with everything!
If you're pregnant, is that really passing?
Well it could always be worse
At least it wasn't your second month of uni.

Not to sound harsh but maybe had you been studying rather than out having sex, you wouldn't be in this situation.
Well, hit the books op!
