Today, my estranged father, who is a cop, decided to show up to my 17th birthday party. He immediately began arresting people for underage drinking. Way to mend fences, dad. FML

Instead of criticizing the absentee father who decides to show up just to be an asshole, all of you are gonna rag on the kid who's done something that most kids his age do? Um, I am underage and no I have not had a drink. Just because lots of kids drink underage doesn't make it right. Lots of kids have stolen before too. The fact is that it's illegal and complaining about the repercussions for doing something you very well knew was illegal is very stupid in my opinion.

I digress; I never drank while underage, not once. In fact, I still don't drink now, and I'm five years past the legal age. I see no point in it, nor did I see a point in it back then. OP shouldn't be given a free pass for breaking the law and should have known better anyway considering his dad is a cop.

Was he acting out because he wasnt invited or if he was invited did you forget he was a hardass. As a cop it would have been his ass if other cops showed up to bust the party with him there
