Today, a police officer gave me a ticket for smoking. He told me that my parents would have to be contacted to come pick me up. My drunk dad came to the rescue, and almost hit the police car. Way to go dad. FML

OP, I understand where you're coming from, but he is a police officer. He didn't give you special treatment, which no cop would have. He may have been acting more as a cop than a parent, but, as he's estranged, that should be expected. Still, I feel for you. Worst birthday ever.

He has a legal duty to arrest them if he knows, he doesn't get a choice. If your friends are drinking and are underage they deserve it and so do you. There are multitudes of reasons why you SHOULDN'T drink before 21 with the main one being that your brain is still forming and it will affect your physical brain growth. YDI

Yeah...FYL because your dad is doing his job? I fail to see this logic. Regardless of whether he is estranged or not, you shouldn't be hosting a party with booze. Though it sucks, you're a bitch for posting this when he had every duty under the law he is sworn to uphold to do such a thing. It was your birthday, but you deserved it for providing alcohol to minors--friends or not. In short; you suck and you deserved it, ENTIRELY.
