One stop cop shop

Today, I learned that making an illegal U-turn right after you see a cop doing one will not stop said cop from ticketing you. FML

I don't usually like to say that people deserved it, but I think that in this case you do. I'm not sure about the area in which you live, but around here almost all of the turn around areas (u-turn lanes) state whether it is legal or not. Mostly all of the illegal u-turn lanes have a sign on or below it that says "authorized vehicles only". I know because I am a fireman and those u-turns are supposed to be for us, police, ambulance, and state and county work vehicles. Though, I remember a bad wreck out on the highway last week where there was an emergency u-turn lane right before the accident scene, and all the motorists were trying to use it to their own benefit when there was probably eight or ten cops just a few feet ahead. Traffic laws are in effect to make the roads safer for everyone on them. Be sure to follow them.

Cops have the right to do a U-turn if it is absolutely necessary. That's a no-brainer. You fail.
