My god. They are engaged! Her dad needs to get the hell over it (unless they are only teens). And even then, punching the shit out of the father of your grandchild will do nothing, it isn't going to make the situation disappear. If those two are an engaged couple who are adults, then the dad needs to be taken to court for assault. If they are just kids, I don't blame him, but still, that's bad. Sometimes violence can be the answer, sometimes not. This is one of those times where it isn't.

I believe what she was trying to say was it would be more understandable to be angry over your teen daughter being pregnant instead of your adult daughter being pregnant. She wasn't trying to say it's ok to beat up a kid, I believe her comment clearly stated at the end "violence was not the answer in this situation". But I can see where people are getting confused.
