Pervy perv walks

By Cashier - 09/03/2011 05:36 - Canada

Today, I was at work as a grocery store cashier. I felt a hand slap my ass. Turning around I saw an old man winking at me and I screamed. When my manager came to deal with the problem she didn't believe me and gave the man a $25 gift card for "the trouble" I caused. FML

What a creep! ******* managers always siding with customers. The customer is not always right!

It's easy for him to get away with it since he probably didn't even remember doing anything by the time the manager walked over.

Old men need some action too. Give him a break.

I'm surprised your manager is a woman. Usually women employers are more sensitive to sexual harrassment problems.

Some female managers are just bitches. I had to deal with one.

clearly the old man is the managers father. thus the reason why he gets to dick around in the grocery store in his spare time when he's not at the senior center playing bingo or drooling over an underpaid desperate teenager working at the local nursing home

Why did you scream? Your in customer service and no the customer is not always right but you do NOT scream at them. Just be glad you weren't fired for creating a scene. There must have been other customers around. Next time be professional.

She didn't actualy scream at him, it was more in fear.

You have got to be joking. "The customer is not always right." Touching someone sexually goes beyond the standard of the customer is always right. No one is obliged to "remember the reputation of the store" when they are being sexually abused. Get a life. Her boss should be fired for not taking her seriously. I'd hate to see what happens to an employee who gets raped in the packing lot on the way to their car. A $100 dollar gift card for the perp, and someone telling her on FML she shouldn't scream at night because there might be someone sleeping in a house nearby, and her status as an employee could cause her loudness to reflect poorly upon the store.

agree with 20. you get your manager involved first. ydi

Exactly, 20. OP, there was no need to cause a scene. You should have just discreetly told your manager. YDI.

The customer is always right! And he obviously thought you had a slapable arse... Are you saying that he is wrong? ;-)

You seem to think telling someone they have a "slappable arse," either verbally or with your actions, is a compliment. It's not. A compliment does not make the recipient feel annoyed, threatened, demeaned, or angry, but most of the time that's exactly how harassment makes women feel.

In no way did it sound like a compliment. It actually sounded like a joke. Maybe you should take a reading class because your interpretations are WAY off.

Next time, drop your shorts and show him the handprint. A little ass flash might get you a gift card!

thats right woman!! next time hope youll know your place and behave! let the man feel a little love! im sure he deserves it at his age!

ydi for not being grateful that you got some sexual attention.

Just because you're a hoe doesn't mean OP also likes getting harassed by dirty, old perverts.

You didn't scream until you turned around and saw him? Fake scream, fake person.
