Let's see prostate cancer or a few minutes of discomfort... I'd take the exam, because I don't know if any of you realize this, but prostate cancer is no walk in te park. it leads to impotency, and then you have all the horrible affects from the treatments, your family has to watch you whither away, and then there's the "this treatment did nothing but we can try this..." boo hoo the doctor made a lame joke, get over it.
Maybe you do not mind having something shoved up your ass... but I'm sure a man would not feel the same! don't just base your opinion on your own like/ not like!!! put yourself in other's shoes and forget you're a female! unless you only hang out with faggets (no offense).
y do u take everything so seriosly my god u need some humor in your life
ya'll who are talking about how much a prostate exam sucks, try having a pap smear
you went to a prostate specialist and you didn't expect that he'd want to examine your prostate?
Hahahaha good one xD
I have to say that's not so much your FML, more like the doctor's! Seriously, he has to do it on a regular basis.. that's gotta stink (literally lol)!
snickers, if he went to see a specialist it means he's in serious pain, with either an infection or possibly cancer. in either case, the exam would be incredibly painful. open your books and try learning a new word: empathy.
So based on your logic than every female who has a child should post an fml? "Today I had a 6-9lb living thing come out of my vag!" I mean seriously. Having a prostate exam is not something I am looking forward to having in the future and hope technological advances makes it less uncomfortable and awkward. Really this isn't much of an fml considering this is routine. The purpose the OP posted it as a fml was because of what the doctor said. Personally I would have just laughed, yeah it would have been awkward but I think it was the doctors poor attempt to be funny.

And just pretend this is Angelina Jolie's...?
...finger instead of the doc's, I guess. I've heard that men have very sensitive nerve centers (like a ********) in that area. Gay or straight, it's supposed to feel quite good to have it stimulated right - which I hope the doc wasn't trying to do. I wouldn't be pleased if, while getting a breast exam or gyno check-up, the doc told me to imagine he's Gerard Butler or someone. Highly inappropriate of him and most awkward if you actually did!
