Remember me

Today, I got a email from my boss. He said he was going to have to let me go for missing so much work over the last week. I was laid off two months ago. I don't know what is more depressing, getting fired from a job twice or the fact it took two months for them to notice I wasn't there anymore. FML

Were you still getting paid for the 2 months?..if not you should umm... "request" your pay.

If it took 2 months for the work you were hired to do piled up so much it became noticable, then I suppose you really were let go because there was not enough work to support the position. Therefore, might be evidence you losing the job was not anyones fault.

Oh my god... that's like, 'Milton from Office Space' epic.

Make sure it gets cleared up so it isn't held against you later! And that sucks a lot. :( Good luck with your job hunt!

I would definitely follow up by keeping copies of his e-mails to you and the termination form, which you likely signed with his signature on it. I would think talk to the HR (or your boss' boss) to see what you can do about that. You in no way deserve to be punished for this and any write ups they have against you after your termination should be null and void - good luck!

Reply that if he wanted you to show up, he probably shouldn't have laid you off two months ago. P.S. - I know the economy's tough, but nobody wants to work for that idiot.

Wow, the people at your workplace should be the ones getting laid off for being so idiotic.

I would have fired you for improper grammer. You use "an" when the following word begins with a vowel, as in; today I received AN email.

Guess we can all only hope a jackass such as yourself never gets into a position in which they can fire people.
