this reminds me of what happened to me in kindergarden :( I was the second last person to take care of our class hamster, and I played with it too much that I accidentally killed it... When I had to return it for the last kid to take care of it, I said it was sleeping. He came back the next day with the dead hamster, thinking he killed it :( I never told anyone it was me.
well you took care of him still sucks, hope the teachers nice

I envy people who can laugh about this. Normally I could too, but for some reason this just tears me up inside. I can picture it so vividly... Maybe it is because I have a rabbit of my own. I do not know. I can find humour in far more tragic affairs, such as actual people dying. But there is something about an animal like a rabbit...its complete innocence, its inability to comprehend its fate... :(
It looks like Hoppers was an appropriate name.
