Responsible

Today, I was responsible for taking care of Hoppers, the rabbit belonging to my son's third grade class. Tomorrow my son returns Hoppers so the next student can care for him. That won't be happening because Hoppers hopped out my fifth story window. FML

this reminds me of what happened to me in kindergarden :( I was the second last person to take care of our class hamster, and I played with it too much that I accidentally killed it... When I had to return it for the last kid to take care of it, I said it was sleeping. He came back the next day with the dead hamster, thinking he killed it :( I never told anyone it was me.

well you took care of him still sucks, hope the teachers nice

57 do you not let your rabbits out of their cages? you don't just keep them penned up- they need to run around.

Maybe Hoppers commited suicide to get away from annoying little third graders. I would too if I were in that position. R.I.P. Hoppers, I'm sure you are happier now.

I envy people who can laugh about this. Normally I could too, but for some reason this just tears me up inside. I can picture it so vividly... Maybe it is because I have a rabbit of my own. I do not know. I can find humour in far more tragic affairs, such as actual people dying. But there is something about an animal like a rabbit...its complete innocence, its inability to comprehend its fate... :(

#72: You don't know how high up or low the window was, how close, or how high the bunny could hop. So stfu and stop talking to me.

It looks like Hoppers was an appropriate name.
