Why do people always say they don't believe posts based on the 'today' part. The posts obviously aren't published right away and you have to put 'today' and 'fml' on them anyways right?? People are annoying.
I have a 130lb. dog. Ugh, she always jumps on me. >_> NOT FUN.
#1 is right: sue! 6 months of training ... that should cost a lot ...
Sure let's sue your neighbor. Sounds like a brilliant idea. Get the guy that lives around you pissed off so you can have "turf" wars with him/her. How about you explain what happened to him/her and then see if he could help recoup the cost of the cast, x-rays, etc. It was an accident. Those do happen people. I just hope that if people saying to sue get into an accident and someone gets hurt that you get sued to the poor house. Call it karma or common sense. You can't just sue everyone for the sheer F of it. NOW, if this has happened multiple times from this guy that's a different story altogether.
First of all, if the OP is in the States its Soccer not Football. We have a totally different sport occupying that name right now. Back to the actual post though, wow, sorry. I know what its like to train for something for a long time and have it taken away from you. I worked out for over a year trying to walk on to a major college program and 1 month before tryouts blew my right shoulder out on an incline bench. Sucks, keep working though, you'll dominate if you have the work ethic to come back from a big injury.
Omg. Sadness. SUE THE DOG OWNER.
This sucks. I am so sorry for you. All that training, and for this to happen right before the track meet, not to mention right after your break up. Also, with healing, and rehab, not to mention retraining, it's going to take over 1 year to get back to the same physical condition you were in to compete again. =S
Why whenever anything happens, Americans say 'sue'? These things happen in life.....yes it sucks, but its not exactly the olympics is it that youre missing out on......is lousy and I would be annoyed but pointless sueing - the owners wont be able to pay and they'll have to get rid of the dog or put it down.

I train as well like you do, I run a lot, I recently cracked 2 ribs a day before a karate belt grading, I had to go through it anyway since I paid and it was just pure agony. Obviously this is nothing compared to your FML. The first FML to actually make me say "shit" out loud when reading the last line, ever, I really feel bad for you. Good luck. I won't even bother with #1's comment about suing her neighbour. No need for the shitstorm that was started last time.
seems like that dog was really happy to see you ...
