Today, my boyfriend and I were out to eat. The waiter came and asked what we wanted. My boyfriend said he wanted a cheeseburger and I told the waiter I'd have the same. My boyfriend looked at me and said, "Are you sure you don't want a salad?" FML

i agree, i don't think that #1 was wrong at all. us girls should be able to eat whatever we want. guys always complain that we always pick at our food and that we never eat. and when we finally do they complain about that! make up your minds!

Most girls eat salads in front of guys, anyway.... I have this ex who i went out with for awhile who was really slim and sexy, and I would joke about her "getting a salad" NOT because she was fat, but because all girls supposedly eat salads when they go out, cuz they want to look like theyre not big eaters, aka fat! And SHE KNEW THIS! cuz she guessed it and i said of course, i wouldnt call you fat... and i told her she looks sexy (and other compliments) all the time 2

I would have responded with, "You're disgusting. Absolutely disgusting." Then, I would have stood, told the waitress he was eating alone and walked out of there. PS - make sure you either a) drove b) have cab money home so that you can walk out of there. And no, you have no reason to speak to him again and he doesn't deserve an explanation.

Obviously, your boyfriend is a jerk if he wasn't joking. However, I don't understand everyone talking about "women being able to eat whatever they want, there's no problem" sure, you can eat whatever you want, but if you have a weight issue, you should still consider dieting. Being fat is unhealthy, even if you have a good body image. Then again, that's your choice, not your boyfriend's.
