Today, I was babysitting a five year-old boy. Somehow the topic of relationships came up, and he asked me if I had a boyfriend. When I told him that I was single, he got all excited and asked if he could be my boyfriend. It would have been cute… except he was the first guy to ever ask me out. I'm 18. FML

Today, I was babysitting a boy who was 11 years old. He told me that he loved me and wanted to be my boyfriend. I told him that I think he is a really great kid but I'm 17 so it would never work out. He said okay. When his parents came home he told them that I hit him and started crying. FML

Today, the three-year-old I was babysitting asked me where my boyfriend was. I told her he was at his house. I'm twenty and single. I lied to a three year old to make myself look less pathetic. FML

Today, I'm 19 years old and, having never been on a date, I agreed to let my friend set me up. He was adorable, young, with blond hair and blue eyes...and 4 years old. My friend tricked me into babysitting. FML

Today, I went to an elementary school for volunteer work. I was asked to read to a group of kids during one of the classes. Before I started reading, a girl raised her hand and asked me if I had a boyfriend and if I was single. I asked her why and she said "My daddy wanted to know." I'm 16. FML

Today, I was telling my dad about how annoying it was to constantly have my ten-year-old cousin message me about her new boyfriend, when he suddenly bursts out laughing about how she can get a boyfriend at ten, and I have never even kissed a guy and I'm seventeen. FML

Today, I asked out the man of my dreams. He told me he'd have to ask his dad if it was OK. I thought he was just kidding, until he pulled out his phone and called his dad. After a few minutes of "Come on, Dad" and "But why?" he hung up and said his dad wouldn't let him. He's 22. FML

So? I think I was 20 before I got my first 'boyfriend.' Granted, I ended up dumping him 3 months later, but yeah. You're only 18. You're young. Don't let it bother you. You've got your whole life to worry about pointless stuff...

No one ever asked me out until I was 18 either. I'm now 24 and have been dating my boyfriend for almost 5 years. It's all a matter of finding the right person. Plus, the fact that you haven't dated before now means you've had to put up with WAY fewer jerks :)

I was 17 before I finally understood that my first boyfriend was asking me out. He tried for a year and a half before I finally got clued in. After that, 3 other guys told me that they were also trying to date me throughout high school. Hang in there, being 18 and dateless isn't the worst thing in the world.

Think positively. Teenage guys can be so idiotic and small minded, just wait till you grow up. Some guys actually mature and find out what real beauty is. Feel better :)
