Special day

Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

#3....idiot. not first. first of the month.

At least now you can legally drown your pains with excessive alchohol. :)

and they wonder why women aren't paid as much since they aren't as productive "at times." that's not to say "those times" can be helped. it's just a fact of life.

oh that's terrible, i would never want that happening n ma 21st bday. hope u were better later & had some fun.

Yeah... That happened to me this year (which happened to be my sixteenth birthday). My sixteenth birthday was extremely uneventful anyway. Hopefully the Midol will kick in and you'll be able to celebrate your 21st in style.

aww :( i feel for you. that sucks big time.

I think I read somewhere that if they leave you immobile, like if they're that crippling, you should see your doctor. Sorry that I forget exactly what the article said.

#171 makes a lot of sense. I've had to stay home from school because my period cramps were so terribly bad... As shocking as this may seem, to both males AND females who have stated, "Suck it up," the pain differs from woman to woman. Surprising isn't it? Some women feel like their insides are probably being torn apart. That has happened to me every once in a while; while others hardly experience any pain. Try to think of it from both sides of the fence.
