Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

how is this FML? how about Stupid. Go to a ******* doctor and tell them that you are having ridiculous cramps, it could be something very serious and then they can give you meds to help with it and voila it's gone, and nature is back to being nature.

dude for everyone saying that cramps arent that bad, you're just lucky you dont get them. and once the pain killers do kick in and you go out drinking, make sure its ok to drink alcohol with the painkillers you took or you may have no memories of tonight. and birth control helps control cramps.

This is definitely an FML. I get the same thing. I've missed a few days of school from this type of thing. Most of the time it's just this nauseous pain that keeps you crying and writhing in pain all day. I'm going on the pill soon to lessen the pain, so maybe you should try it. Hot baths always help me out when it's really bad, too. Just ignore the people who say this "isn't an FML". It probably tops more than half of the FML's on this site..especially on your b-day? Ouch. Good luck.
