Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

People who don't think it's bad probably haven't experienced it, it really hurts, I once had pain shooting up to under my arms, it felt like it was going through my chest it was horrible, Everything I've read recently has someone saying 'this isn't a FML'.... it's getting really annoying. Post better ones if you don't like the ones posted.

THat's awful!! I've never had the pleasure of having severe period cramps on my birthday, but I have definitely had them before.. just curled up in my bed all day, cried my heart out, slept, and took Motrin. It's not fun.

All you people saying to suck it up deserve that magnitude of cramps. -.- You're supposed to start going to the OB/GYN by the time you're 21 anyway, so this might be a good time to do that so you don't have to suffer so much anymore.
