Stop lying

Today, I found out that my sister, who is 16 years older than me, is actually my biological mother. She and my parents decided it was best that I didn't know who my real mother was, and to be raised by my grandparents as their child. I've always hated my sister. FML

Well then, I guess it's a good thing your grandparents raised you, isn't it?

Holy shit... this one isn't even funny. I'm sorry, man : |

People are saying the OP will end up crazy, but don't forget this exact thing happened to Jack Nicholson and he turned out okay.

Interesting. I saw this on home and away last week.

I was also adopted by my biological parents and told that my mother was actually my sister. We weren't in the same household, so luckily I didn't grow up with any particular animosity toward her. And even though I found out she was my real mother when I was 18, it wasn't until I was 32 that we really started conversing and building a friendship.

Edit (sorry, slow connection) : I was also adopted by my biological grandparents and told that my biological mother was actually my sister. We weren't in the same household, so luckily I didn't grow up with any particular animosity toward her. And even though I found out she was my real mother when I was 18, it wasn't until I was 32 that we really started conversing and building a friendship. So even though you hate her now, hopefully some day you'll build some rapport.

I would just like to point out to all these people on here talking shit about teenage mothers, we're not all ****** who abandon our kids! Yes, I'm a 17 year old teenage mom of a 5 month old. My parents told me they'd support whatever decision I made. I CHOSE to keep my baby, and raise him, as his mother. I do everything for my baby, and I know I'm a damn good mom. And about the birth control comments, birth control isn't 100% effective. It is possible to get pregnant while on birth control, which just so happens to be the case with me. Don't judge all teen moms, based on a few. Some of us take responsibility for our actions. And OP, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I'm sure it must be something very tough to go through. Time will make things better. In all honesty, you very well may have been better off being raised by your grandparents, because I'm not sure how your mother was when she was younger, and some refuse to face the facts, even when it's staring them in the face. I do think you should have known who your biological mother was, though.

I think some of you guys are missing the point... this sounds like her father raped her sister.... that's an fml on 2 people's parts. and i feel sorry for her for being the off-spring of incest.

The OP is a "he" not a "she", just saying.

the OP's gender doesn't matter on my comment, but i did make a mistake and say her instead of his. thanks.

How the crap did you jump to that crazy conclusion?

well, that is the only way i can think how it's possible for your sister to be your mother....

Sounds an awful lot like the story of the latest Early November album. Suspicious

How's it suspicious? That kind of thing happens all of the time. My boyfriend's situation is the same, except he likes his sister. Art emulates real life, you know, not the other way around.
