What about the second time? The first time is forgiveable but if he can't go again and last longer, it's time for you two to work on that.

Exactly. But the second time should be within 10-20 minutes. I'm sure he'll get better with practice. Make sure you ween him off the cartoons though, otherwise he'll develop a fetish and get a hard-on everytime he sees daffy duck or porky pig.
