Thanks for the memories

By thankspal - 24/06/2012 10:57 - United States

Today, while shopping, I bumped into a guy I knew in high school. He went on about he heard I'd got married, looked like I'd had a baby, and that, "she looks just like you!" The kid was my niece, and my husband broke up with me 2 years ago. Thanks for bringing that up. FML

Try to move on.... He wasn't TRYING to hurt you.

Ydi for being so sensitive about it. He was trying to be nice to you and start a conversation.

Um it's not really like he'd know that hun... :/

Oh get over yourself. How were they to know. After 2 years u should at least be able to state that you are divorced & have no children.

Is it just me, or is it odd that its phrased "broke up" after two years of marriage? Isnt that a divorce??

Don't blame him; he didn't know. Besides, I think you should've moved on after 2 years. You could've asked him out.

Well If you kept yourself in shape It wouldn't have been an awkward encounter. I understand break ups are hard but to look amazing post break up is the best way to get back at your ex

Why do people think she's "let herself go?" I'm no psychic, but my guess is it "looked like" she'd had a child because she had the kid with her, not because she physically looked like she'd had a child. Logic also indicates that the FML is that she neither is married nor has a child, things she obviously wants. As in, "He essentially gave me a rundown about all the things I thought I'd have by now but don't. FML."

It was a kind gesture and he didnt know any better. How dare you accuse a guy when all he wants to do is compliment you and how you had done something successful with your life.

he didnt know, so how could you blame him? -_-
