Thieves like us

Today, I found my checking and savings account to both read $0.00. My parents transferred all my money to theirs because "I'm irresponsible, and not fit to handle money." I'm a 3.8 college student and have a full-time job. They are currently unemployed. FML

Well are you 18 or older? If so, you should have to sign permissions for those things. Report it to your bank. If you're a minor, well, definitely FYL.

Okay, first of all: your life does indeed suck. That's terrible. Second of all: why do they have access to your account? Shut that down, bro.

Obviously you've not been mature enough to open your own account... go to the bank immediately and fix that.

hmmm, interesting isnt it? some parents... i had that happen to me but i was 18, kicked out, and had no job! i think she wanted to teach me a lesson. instead, i taught her by succeeding. whatever... u do what u got to do and move on. look at it this way, it was kinda like a backhanded compliment and u took one for the team. times are tough. obviously, they were too embarrassed to ask for the money and felt guilty for doing it. so they say something absurd to make them feel better about it. fyl ur parents *btw, its not easy having a full time job And maintaining a 3.8 gpa (depending on what degree and job, its even harder)

YDI for having a joint account.

I tell this to all my friends who have these problems with their bank -you're over 18 -get your own bank accound like normal adults! then they can't touch your money DUH

why the hell do you still have an account with a castodian if your in college. open a new account and don't tell your parents

steal ur parent's money (all of it) and leave em. then we'll see who's irresponsible >:)

That sucks.... Get it back and tell them to get a damn job. o-o

Why the f_ck are you in college, yet still share a bank account with your parents? Unfortunately, your parents are right: you aren't fit to handle your money. If you were, you would have your own account.
