Usually when cats do that they are upset with you like if u were gone for along time, made them angry, etc. Everytime I go on vacay I have someone house sit for me but she still pukes on my bed everytime I go. Lol

If your cat has used the litter box in the past, then chances are that either A) the box was too dirty and she/he didn't want to put her tushie in that mess or B) he/she has something wrong with her (like a UTI) and you need to take him/her to the vet. Either way, YDI for not paying more attention.

Thank god, someone sane! I can't believe how many idiots there are saying "oh, she did it to piss you off/ yeah, cats are like that/ lol/ FYL." NO! If your cat isn't using the litterbox, there's something wrong, and it's probably your fault. Unless it's a UTI type thing in which case you're still responsible for knowing when your pet is sick and doing something about it other than whining on FML.

Why thank you! I will add, though, that I have one cat who sometimes messes outside the litter box when she is severely stressed. Of course, she's 16 and so she doesn't tolerate new situations well. I consider it a fair exchange for having a cat who's been with me more than half of my life. We just try not to change too much at one time and clean up messes when they happen. For those who're interested, white vinegar gets cat urine out of fabric (clothes, sheets, etc.)

They usually do that when the litter hasn't been changed in a while and it smells bad. Would you shit in a toilet that someone didn't flush before you?

Might want to get that checked out. Usually when cats pee on our personal items or somewhere we always are, its often them telling you something is wrong. Could be urine crystals for example. I'm not a vet but I've had cats and each time ours did that it was because he didn't feel good.

Cats are four legged assholes. They only acknowledge you when you have food or when they want you to pet them. Cute little bastards...haha
