Today, after a few beers, I was exiting the bathroom of a loud house party when the door jammed. I had to climb out through the shower window. It was fool proof until my foot got stuck. I hung outside the house upside down in the dark yelling for an hour before someone figured out where I was. FML

Upside down? For 1 hour? Wouldn't a person lose consciousness rather quickly?

Any plan that was thought of and attempted "after a few beers" is never fool proof because, at that point, you are a fool.

Wouldn't it have just been easier to call someone to help you open the door?

Just what I was about to say. Why didn't he just knock on the door for someone on the other side to open it?

I guess that's how he rolls. Maybe life has taught him something this time.

Notice the OP said loud house party, as in "don't bother calling anyone at it because they're too drunk and rowdy and even if they weren't they still wouldn't be able to hear you over the music" loud.

You could have screamed where you were.

even if it were loud, I'm sure you had your cell phone. couldn't you have texted someone? "hey bro, I'm stuck in the bathroom. help!?" that didn't take long. and look! I'm not hanging out of a window. ytdi. dumbass.

^ agreed. this guy deserves it for going to a house party in the first place! Most of the time those are lame anyways. He also didn't use his brain to get ahold of his buddies. But then again, maybe he didn't have any friends to call in the first place

And what if he doesn't own a cellphone, #20? And #23, don't judge because of your OWN likes and dislikes. Saying he deserves it because YOU don't like house parties is dumb and ignorant.

op lives in California. of course he has a cell phone! :))

Pendatik, knowing your comments, you usually choose to condescend people (with the pretense that you are not doing so), and while I don't like your attitude, I usually find you to be right. In this case however, your point is pathetic. Trying to apply what I said back to me is childish. I didn't judge anyone. For example, I know a lot of "genius" people. Does that mean if they say something idiotic at one time, I cannot point that out? And if I do, does it mean I judge them to be idiots? It IS dumb and ignorant to judge someone by your own dislikes. It's like saying "all rock music is trash, and that is a fact" because you happen not to like rock. What I DIDNT say was that #23 is an ignorant idiot, only that a specific part in his reply is so.

Than if you didn't say I judged anyone, I apologise for that. There is a difference between making a judgement on something, and judging someone. People do indeed need to use their likes and dislikes to create an opinion, a judgement if you will, but that's not what #23 did. Saying the guy deserves it for going to a party is NOT an opinion, it is stating it as a fact, that just going to a house party makes you guilty of something right there. Saying something along the lines of "I don't really like house parties, if you do that's fine, but you should be more aware of things that can happen there" would be expressing an opinion. Deeming someone guilty just for going there, is not an opinion. Or it is if you so wish it, but it'd be wrong to say it- not because of the person's own opinions of these parties, but because of applying it to other people.

wow, long debate going on here lol. Im just saying that a) house parties I think are usually lame. And the more important point is b) this guy must've been really drunk to not know how to open a door the right way.

I hope you're joking, kayslisanarb. Do you know what's the definition of 'judgement'? According to the Oxford dictionary, it is "form an opinion or conclusion about". The definition for opinion is: "a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge". See how 'opinion' is mentioned when we talk about 'judgement' and how 'judge' is mentioned when we talk about opinions? I know I'm being redundant here, but why is it wrong to use your opinion then? It's funny how you said "who cares about opinions?", when that is clearly YOUR opinion, and, you're judging pendatik based on your opinion as well. If it was a joke, I apologise, 'cause your comment did made me laugh.

*make Dammit, I'm tired. Fthku, you said that "There is a difference between making a judgement on something, and judging someone." I understand why you said it, the word 'judge' has negative connotations, but judging someone merely means that you're forming an opinion about that person, it's up to you if that judgement is positive or negative.
