Be thankful she didn't raise you and appreciate how much better off you are with your adoptive parents. Not really a FML.
Stop being a whiny bitch and be grateful you have parents. And seriously, give Twilight a chance. The movies suck, but the books are great. :)
I've read the 1st and 2nd books, and to be honest Stephanie Meyer is a terrible author. All the characters are empty, the plot is boring, and the only reason she wrote the books was to make money off of lttle girls who enjoy shallow love stories.
Twilight is a romance novel, they are never written to be great works of fiction. I was dragged to the movies with my best friend and at least I got to imagine vacationing in the pretty forested places. As a writer myself, I have to say that Stephanie Meyer just got lucky. Her book is written from the POV of a shallow girl who cares only about a perfect guy. If Eddie the Douche had been poor or a average looking vampire, had more than one expression and not watched her when they slept I might have liked it. But as it stands, Edward is a rich, obsessed pretty boy who fall for a completely average, boring girl--how is that logical. He is a 100 year old virgin? Yea, right, I totally believe that plot line.
Both parties have the emotional maturity of a baked potato. Clearly they're meant to be together ~forever~.
44 I'm american my parents are divorced poor and we still live in nice houses on both sides and nice neighborhoods so don't talk about shit you don't know about.
Darn thumbs up/down buttons are too close on my phone :( I meant thumbs down but accidentally touched up.
So the only people who can give their kids up for adoption are unwed teenage mothers? That makes no sense.
It makes no sense because at 22, you aren't a teenager.
would you prefer op's mother had gotten an abortion? I'm just playing devil's advocate as I'm 100% pro-choice, but it seems like unwilling parents can't win on this site.
what if you're mentally unfit, or in a bad position to raise a child?
if you are mentally unfit or in a bad position to raise a child you shouldn't be having unprotected sex! I'm sorry but personally I've never met a person who gave up there child who hasn't been repulsive in lots of other ways and it's not a magic fix. the kid won't always get adopted by some loving, financially sound family. more often than not they'll be passed from one foster home to another and just because the family cleans up for the social workers visit doesn't mean they don't treat the kid like a dog every other day. =(
I think you're mistaken on how adoption works. There are a lot of different ways for kids to be adopted. But many people who adopt go through adoption agencies. I was adopted right out of the hospital. My birth mother went to an adoption agency and looked through a book of people. She chose my family, they met and made sure my adopted parents weren't crazy or financially unsound and then proceeded. Most kids in foster care are older and removed from unfit parents. Many people who adopt their children out do so through an agency, so the child isn't passed around through different homes. They are often two different systems. While i know many foster people my older sister was adopted at six months, my best friend was adopted when she was three, I have two kids down the street who were adopted from a foster home at eight and ten. It is not always abuse and danger.
ouch on that last comment.
i love it when people trash us americans even though its not true it just makes my day
There are some wonderful Americans for sure, but there are a lot of arrogant idiots, too. Believe me, the reputation of Americans outside of their own country, is often not a positive one.
exactly
You haven't notices that you are just as rude about Brits. Were all tea drinking rotten toothed la di das after all
