I agree, Snicks. All that aside, it sounds to me that the OP's husband was just trying to make her feel better. In fact, it sounds like the type of humor my boyfriend would use to cheer me up, in a similar situation. -shrug- Not exactly FML-worthy, in my opinion.
I agree with some of the other folks here, what your husband said was pretty cute. Seeing as how we don't know why you vomited, calling for sympathy is not a big deal if you're sick. If you're mildly inconvenienced like of the examples in the other comments, that's one thing. If I was sick, I would call my husband, too.
