Op, not trying to be Holmes here but, logic suggests the robbers Did wake up your boyfriend, when they knocked on the door.....to active mission "Sleeper Agent!" He's a mole, Watson, the mastermind behind the grand theft of your family jewels and all your earthly possessions! He let them in, emptied the area, and placed himself back into a slumbering position to claim ignorance and innocence in the transpired crime! A crime and lie you blindly fell for! Aha! ;) (Okay, I took that far beyond the realm of reasonable. Apologies. :) I am sorry you were robbed though, that always sucks. Just be glad you weren't there to be harmed or whatnot. it could have been worse.)

71, I kind of wonder myself if maybe the boyfriend wasn't in on it as well...I could probably sleep through most things but if someone broke into my house & took everything around me, I'd definitely wake up...unless he had taken sleeping pills or was passed out drunk beforehand.
