Can you really blame her? It's supposed to hurt extremely badly, just be grateful that she was willing to do that for you!
I'm sure she was just nervous. She wouldn't have offered if she didn't care, right?
Bone marrow donation doesn't have to be a horrifically painful surgery! It can be an outpatient procedure with just some needles in your arms
They don't take the marrow from your arms... They pump you full of meds to make you produce extra, then go for the bigger marrow filled bones, like hips and pelvis. They take the biopsies from the hip too. There is no way it ISN'T painful. Asleep or not, you are in extreme pain for a while. My mom had a bone marrow biopsy and was hurting incredibly bad for a week. It's worse when you're donating.
Where I live around 80% of donations are made with cells taken from the blood, not the bones.
62-- they now have Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Donation (PBSC). The donor is injected for five days with a synthetic protein. It is less painful than normal procedure, but can give the donor flu like symptoms and lasts 4 to 8 hours. However, this way is not always possible.
Dump the insensitive stupid bitch!
If she was that insensitive, she wouldn't have even bothered to go with op to see if she was a match.
But she was GLAD that she wasn't a match for something that could save his life. That's worse than not wanting to get tested in the first place.
oh it is so very painful... I have donated.
at least she got tested for you :)

She still got tested. I think she would have gone through with it if she was indeed a match, but anyone (including myself) would be dreading the surgery.
It was a nice gesture that she tested to see if she could, but that wasn't really a proper response, even if she was afraid to go through with the procedure. Good luck finding a doner OP!
