Today, after working all week on a group project, I realized I forgot to submit the assignment and missed the deadline. I now have to tell my group that we automatically failed. FML

FYI it was an honest mistake and the paper was only turned in 8 minutes late...after some frantic talks with my teacher she agreed not to penalize my group and just deduct points from me. Lesson learned!!

Here's the real question, did you have to do the entire project on your own? If so, serves them right for not helping. Been there, it sucks. Sorry OP.

Well we all make mistakes, but in this case you made a big one and will now get your ass kicked by the rest of your group. I'd move far far away OP.

A final submission is a lot of information to submit, and thats a lot of pressure to put on one person.... Maybe from now on, assign 2 or 3 people to organize all the pieces of the project for submission... That way you wont forget anything, and if one person forgets the due date, someone else will be there to have your back :)

just last night I didn't know something needed to be turned in and found out 20 minutes before it was due so I can see how that could happen.

it would be so messed up for your teacher to fail ALL of you.However, any teacher willing to share a grade amongst a group is just lazy and inconsiderate.
