Anyone who saves and works hard for something doesn't give a damn what other people think about it. The fact that the dude is so upset over the laughing, makes me question the validity of the "saving".

Um...there's a little something called 'feelings' and certain negative acts from 'friends' can hurt these said 'feelings' and make one think that they just wasted their time and money on something they're going to be ridiculed for until they save up for a replacement vehicle.
