#31, lowering the drinking age won't stop you from getting carded. You get carded for buying cigs, anyway; alcohol would be no different. I'd also like you to explain how showing ID is "patronizing"...too young to get your own alcohol?

Look, number 19. SHE WAS AT A BAR. Not the Ritz. us bartenders have a fast-pace and hard job. We don't have time to deal with morons. We bartenders in America get paid less than minimum wage. We get paid $3.77/hr to be exact. AND we pay taxes on that. So basically we get paid around $3.00 an hour to deal with ******* stupid people. I am especially sick and tired of carding 2 or 3 people who look around 19, and then have their stupid friend who looks 45 ask, "ooh! Are you going to card ME?!" It's embarassing to everyone, and theres not really any appropriate answer. Good for him for speaking the truth. Our jobs are already stressful and pretty much suck. The fact that you would actually consider going through all that trouble to ruin someones job, is sickening. You should be ashamed of yourself. It's people like you who don't tip and are rude. As a result you get shitty pours in your drink, and in some extreme cases, maybe someone's balls rubbed on your steak. oh and the same to you #33.
