Today, at soccer tryouts, the coach made us run the entire practice. I ran the whole two hours ahead of everyone. When the tryout ended, I vomited due to dehydration. I didn't make the team. The coach's reasoning: "Only the weak throw up". FML

That's such horseshit, appeal to one of the other coaches since there are normally more than one. That actually shows you have the best fitness there, yes I am a fellow football player, carry on.

You don't want to be on that team anyways, the coach is probably one of those pyscho for when you lose it's 6 hr practices for your team.

I play soccer too , and at first (during try-outs) and even during conditioning I found myself throwing up. Just means your pushing yourself, luckily my coach wasn't a douche and could see our hard work for what it was. Maybe tryout for a different team? Better luck next time!

Man, that sucks... But don't let it get to ya. Just continue to follow your dream and continue to practice and give it your all.

Ipecac in the team's water, ipecac and ex-lax in the coach's drink. Problem solved... or petty justice, whatever makes you happy.

Interesting because throwing up after intense work outs is a sign you worked yourself past your limits. OP, you did your best.

So glad he cares about your health. But if you're on here I'm glad you didn't move on to heat stroke. Keep up with the dedication OP and hope you make it next time

Honestly you don't really want to be under a coach who thinks that of their players anyways. In the end, if you ever had a severe problem come up as needed some understand, he'd not only deny you the sympathy you deserve, but from the sounds of it, also kick you off the team. That in the end would be more frustrating than what he said to you before. I'm really sorry you didn't make the team though, cuz it's probably something you love to do. So just keep practicing and maybe you'll get a new coach who is actually understanding and acknowledges effort.

Talk to his boss about basic safety. The coach put your health at risk! And get yourself some pedialyte or even Gatorade. Go to an ER if you have to.

That sucks OP but honestly, do you really want to join a team with such a dick as a coach? Chances are he is going to ruin all the fun of being part of it by being a Captain Herbert Sobel wannabe... Maybe try another team.

Its football, not soccer. *picks nose and eats booger*

this man above my comment is right. You know, for someone that is from places that call it football instead of soccer, if you are going to argue a point, you need to know your crap. OP does not deserve this simply because you are a douche. Go stick a handegg up your arse and learn some tact.
