Today, both of my grandparents died in a car accident. My Mom and Dad thought it would make me feel better to know they were not my real grandparents, because I'm adopted. FML

Today, I learned I was adopted and that my parents had died in a car accident when I was really young. My girlfriend was sitting next to me when I got the news, and several hours later broke up with me in a text stating, "I don't want to be with someone who doesn't have real parents." FML

Today, my grandparents told me they couldn't make it to my college graduation, even with months in advance to plan, because they had their annual Mother's Day plans with friends. Plans they've had every year, and are further away. This was the only time I'll ever have a graduation ceremony. My grandpa is my last biological grandparent. FML

Today, my grandfather was counting all the grandchildren he had and saying how fortunate he was to have all of us. When I pointed out that he'd forgotten to count me, he turned and said "You're adopted, you don't count as a real grandchild" FML

Today, I went to visit my grandparents, as my grandmother may not have long left. When my stepfather wasn't grilling my visibly uncomfortable grandad about Bible passages, my mother was trauma-dumping about how hard her life has been, and how awful her marriage to my father was. They're his parents. FML

Today, I was sitting at home when the police knocked on my door. They came inside, sat me down and told me that both my parents died in a car crash tonight. I started to cry, but about 10 minutes later, I find out they had the wrong person. I feel bad for the other guy. FML

Okay first of all, yeah ur grandparents dying sucks. But WTF is wrong with u? Being adopted isnt bad at all. I was adopted and I don't even wanna know who my biological parents are. Ur real parents are the ones that raise live and care for you. Sure you may be curious and want to meet ur biological parents and you go ahead. But wait till ur 18 and be warned, You might not wanna get mixed up with them. It might cause emotional problems or they may have wanted u to live in a better lifestyle than what they could have given you. Being adopted never changed anything in my life and shouldn't affect yours.

Once you adopt a child they become just as much a member of the family as any children you would make your self! So you were justified in being sad, I would be sad too. And that was awful of your parents to say that! As if there would a some sort of degree of separation there. Just awful!
